U11/U10 VII Netball v Stoke Brunswick – Lost 6-9

Having won the first centre pass, Copthorne scored the first goal. Their passing and defending prevented Stoke from having possession of the ball for too long. Unfortunately Stoke managed to even the score towards the end of the first quarter. We were unlucky in the second quarter as Stoke took the lead 5-3. The girls tried to catch up on goals in the last two quarters but Stoke’s shooting was very accurate. Despite the loss it was pleasing to see how the girls introduced the skills they have been practising into the game; the interception of passes was outstanding. The girls never gave up and if they continue to play like this they will be victorious. LD
