U12 Rugby v Cottesmore

7th December 2016

The Under 12’s ended up winning quite comfortably, but the match was actually a very closely contested one, especially in the first half. Cottesmore passed the ball around nicely, and they also defended pretty well. Austin, Jacob and Ben C were able to break through with some strong running and score our first three tries, but at half time the scores were tied at 3-3.

In the second half we gained the upper hand, mainly due to greater commitment going into the rucks, especially by Luca and Austin. This meant that we got a lot more of the ball and were able to use it to score more regularly as the game progressed. Austin scored 2 more, and Jacob and Ben C both got a second try each with Charlie and Luca also going over later on.

Well done also to the other 4 boys, Karan, Sam D, Sam S and Joe who may not have scored but who contributed to the victory both in attack and defence. Well done boys!
