U13 IAPS Netball Tournament

Having had an extremely successful season on the netball courts only losing the first game this term, the U13 girls had high hopes at the annual IAPS Tournament at Roedean this year.  In true Roedean style the rain came down and the wind blew, conditions were very unpleasant.  Not only was the weather against us this year, but traffic on the way down put us under extreme pressure to make the first game at 10 o’clock!  With 3 minutes to spare, we made it!  A quick warm up and we were up against Amesbury.  This turned out to be our most successful game of the tournament and we won the game 9-1  – what a fabulous start!

However, things went downhill from here on in.  We had plenty of shots on goal but for whatever reason the ball was not going to go through the ring this year – so MANY near misses, but lady luck  was definitely not on our side today!

A huge thank you to all the mums and dads who came to support us today!  A big thank you to Miss Carter for her help and encouragement and an even BIGGER thank you to Super Sub Katie (and her parents) who supported the team in terrible conditions.  MJ

Team:  Jess (Capt), Sofia, Roselly, Frosty, Micki, Isabella, Vicky and Katie
