After yesterday’s great effort against three strong sides, we expected another tough match against a strong Ardingly side. After watching the B’s game we knew that if we worked hard going up and down the pitch we would get a strong result. We started well and were all over the Ardingly team but without any success. We had our usually team set up with Charlie A proving solid at the back despite some dubious passing. His partner in crime, Harry A , also proving a solid wall in front of Rohan who didn’t need to touch the ball all first half. With some stern words at half time about faster passing, we took control through the second half, faster slicking passing lead to come great chances. The first goal coming from Taran sliding the ball into the bottom corner. A second goal came soon after with harry A taking a pot shot from 20 yards, he was a little fortunate to see his shot slip through the goalkeepers hands and into the goal behind him. After his strike on Tuesday Harry was flying high to shoot from wherever. An effort on target is always going to trouble the goalkeeper and this was the case. At 2-0 we were comfortable enough to make a couple of changes and try people in different positions. Rohan was called into action soon after our second goal, and had to  come out to smother the ball at the feet of the attacker. In the process making a brilliant tackle which left the striker in a pile on the floor. Our third soon followed from Taran again, and with Charlie A (now playing upfront) scoring from the corner of the box, this rounded off a great 4-0 victory against a decent Ardingly side who were clearly not used to losing.

Another great game for the A’s and another clean sheet for Rohan. Still unbeaten in normal fixtures an still only conceded 2 goals in 5 games, scoring 15 in the process.
