U8 Netball v Brambletye & Ardingly

29th January 2018

Due to the heavy rain yesterday inhibiting the matches to take place outside, we tried to fit as many as we could in the sports hall, so we only had a very short time to play. Our U8B team firstly played against Brambletye which was a very closely contested match resulting in no goals being scored! Although the girls were trying hard to move the ball down the court, unfortunately our passes were often intercepted by Brambletye who were closely marking us. In the second half we did have a few opportunities at goal however they were just not going in. Straight after we played Ardingly, instantly I could see that the girls had now put their netball heads on and they were beginning to show off the skills that they have learnt. I was most impressed with their spatial awareness and ability to catch the ball on the move rather than being static when receiving the ball.

Well done to all the girls, special mention to the players of the match Levahna and Sophie for their excellent team work and defensive play.
