After a big tournament yesterday the boys showed no signs of fatigue, injuries or tiredness as they took to the Brambletye opposition.
The boys started with great gusto and managed to take the lead early. At half time the score was 8-4 to Copthorne with tries coming from N. Lopalco, D. Westwood, Z. Riley, D. Persad x2, C. Nimmo, T. Penlington and W. Goodwin.
The boys were playing well even though they were put on a field twice the size they were used to.
We managed to hold our fitness for the extended 15 minute halves.
Returning to the field the boys knew they had to keep the foot down and they managed to do that with second half tries coming from C. Nimmo, W. Goodwin, P. Kinnear, D. Westwood x2 and N. Lopalco.
We managed to hold on to a 14-8 win so well done lads very impressed and we are certainly improving.
The things we need to work on are becoming more visible and we will be working on them come games time.
Well done again and thanks to the supporters as well. Q McKenna
