On Wednesday the U8 girls went to Cottesmore school to play a netball match. The first quarter started off slow as the girls were slightly shocked at the ability and the height of the year 4 opposition, and struggled to get a goal in due to the posts being a foot higher than they were used to. However, their heads never went down and in the second quarter we began to gain a better flow of play and even scored a goal! Luckily we had a squad of ten girls so we were able to swap around players and positions. Throughout the match there was a huge improvement with the girls movement around the court as they had to really think about their passes and getting free a lot more than they have had to previously.

Although the final score was 10-4 to Cottesmore I think that the girls played their best netball yet. I was super impressed with the determination, positivity and team work that they displayed yesterday.

Well done to everyone that played, extra congratulations to Sienna who was awarded player of the match!

Lost 4-10
