The U8 netball squad played against Hurst yesterday afternoon, and both A and B teams won their matches comfortably. The A’s took a while to settle in and get their shots in, but had majority of the possession in the first half. The second half was a much better improvement, after a lot of practice in training, the girls are starting to look for space and drive in front of their opposition. The defence played particularly outstandingly, intercepting all the balls coming their way and offloading it safely. The centre court players also worked hard at bringing the ball down the court, and feeding into the shooters.

The shooting pair worked excellently together and Clara (GS) was awarded player of the match, for her consistent goal scoring and movement in the circle. Well done to all the A team girls the final score was 8-2 to Copthorne.
