U8A Netball v LND

11th March 2016

Won 14-0

After a 2 week break the U8s were excited to be playing their first of 2 games this week. Harley captained the side on Tuesday and unfortunately lost the toss but it wasn’t long before the team turned over the ball and Biba got us off to a fabulous start with our first goal. Once again the girls dominated throughout the whole of the game. Danni (GK) didn’t touch the ball in the first quarter as Daisy intercepted every pass to send it back down to our circle. We ended the first quarter 6-0. Lots of position changes were then made and it just goes to show just how versatile this group of girls are as we continued to anticipate the play and turned the ball over time and again to deny LND even 1 shot on goal. We ended the game after 3 quarters (as LND had to return to school) with a massive 14-0 win.

Goals were scored by: Biba (3), Ella (3), Layla (6), Harley (1) and Daisy (1). Well done girls an excellent performance and thank you to our loyal supporters! Congratulations to Harley who, quite deservedly was voted Girl of the Game! MJ
