U8B Netball v BHHS

20th November 2015

Won 7-0

This week the girls played a home match against BHHS. They started off the game really well, intercepting their first centre pass. From the get go our girls brought the ball down to our D allowing the shooters to get a few attempts at goal. It was quite nail biting to start off with as the first few attempts at goal kept bouncing off the ring but once our shooters got their eye in, they shot some lovely goals. In the first half most of the possession was in our goal third as our defence players continued to make intercepts in the centre third. At half time we made a lot of changes in positions to even up the match a bit as the Copthorne girls were leading 5-0. Some girls played positions they hadn’t played before but still managed to adjust quickly. As the other team picked up their game in the second half and their defence got stronger; it forced our girls to have to get in front of their players rather than standing around calling for the ball. Copthorne continued to play a great game through the second half scoring another 2 goals. The girls finished off with a convincing win of 7-0. All the girls played a great game this week and should be very proud of their efforts. SS Player of the match: Isobel Goodfellow
