U9 ‘A’ Football v Cottesmore

30th September 2016

On a lovely day for football a very excited group of boys were looking forward to the match against Cottesmore. We had 10 boys for the afternoon including some under 8’s.

The boys as ever produced an improved performance, they are working hard during Games lessons and want to control and pass the ball. As ever, they tackle everything that moves, I as referee was lucky I didn’t get a kicked a couple of times. The boys took a well deserved lead through Alex in the first half but Cottesmore to their credit got a deserved equaliser on the break.

The boys are starting to think about how to prepare, they use their time when off to watch the game and have come together as a team, evidenced by the seamless introduction of four new players. We need to talk with each other a little more on the pitch, anticipating areas to defend and attack but they are playing good football and are a pleasure to help improve.

Congratulations to all the team – Josh, Dan, James, Charlie, Arun, Alex, Elloitt, Lewis, Pranav and Marcos.
