U9 A Rugby v Pennthorpe – Feb 2017

1st March 2017

Today’s match was played in horribly cold, wet and muddy conditions and I was very pleased overall with the way the team kept going under the circumstances against a good Pennthorpe side. We struggled to attack with any pace on the pitch due to the slippery mud, and we did not manage to keep our width enough both in attack and defence. Olly scored for us in the first half, and we were only 2-1 down at the break.  Felix T barged over the line in the second half for our second try, but Pennthorpe were too strong on the day, and kept their shape better than we did. Our boys kept tackling to the end, as all the mums will confirm when they see the state of their kit tonight! Will was the outstanding tackler on the day for us, but everyone played their part. Thanks to all the parents who braved the cold to come and support us!

Try scorers: Oliver and Felix T.
