U9 A Rugby v Pennthorpe

Pennthorpe  40  Copthorne  5

We were beaten today by a well drilled Pennthorpe team, but there are some positives for us to take out of the game.  The first half was a close encounter with them scoring three tries to one of ours.  It was a bruising and physical game, and our boys can be proud of how hard they ran, competed and tackled in the opening half.  Unfortunately it was only our second match of the season and Pennthorpe experience, speed and strength showed in the end.  We missed a few tackles and lost our edge a little, but on the whole the boys put in a good deal of effort.  Well done Duncan for his try!
