U9 ‘C’ Football v Cumnor House

22nd September 2016

It was a good start to the season for the boys when they played Cumnor House at home. It was their first game, so the boys were a bit out of focus at the start. They made some basic mistakes and the Cumnor boys just kept working hard. They were attacking the entire first half and gave us no room to play. At the end of the first half the score was 0-3 in Cumnor’s favour.

As the second half started the boys looked more determined and focused. With some fantastic defending we kept our opponents at ease. Unfortunately they got a lucky goal. We came right back and scored a fantastic goal. The football match had changed just there. Our boys just worked as a team making some great passes and also having fantastic movements. At the end of the match we managed to get another goal in, but unfortunately there wasn’t enough time for us to get another one. The game finished at 2-4 in Cumnor’s favour.

I was very proud in the boys for their teamwork and determination. Thank you to the parents for the support.

Well done to: Felix T, Leon, Jonathan, Arthur, Daniel, Matthew and Nathan.
