U9 Football v Lancing College Prep

7th October 2016

Lancing are a very good side with at least two boys on Brighton’s books. We simply did not learn from mistakes with marking and on many occasions Josh in goal had two or three players bearing down on him. The boys seem to lose a little heart when they go behind and start to panic and go very quiet, There was not any disgrace in losing to a team with very experienced players indeed. Will scored a great goal for us with persistence and a cool finish; so they can compete at a decent level. Any under 9 side that scores with a headed goal from a corner kick is obviously a good side so the boys should not be downhearted.

We will work on simple things in games and improvement will come. It’s a matter of inches not yards at the moment but we are getting there. Three things to help be successful; first hard work, second hard work, third hard work! The boys will continue to do this so a win I am sure is around the corner. Thanks once again for parents support.
