U9 High 5s v Ardingly – Won 9-0

Copthorne were eager to play the match this week having missed the last three weeks of netball due to the lovely English weather!  Copthorne were playing their first High 5s match of the season and as they usually play with seven it was going to be something different for them. The girls were a little ropey to begin with and had to work really hard to get the ball up court as they were minus their usual wings and with having the extra restriction of the GS and GK not being allowed to play in centre court the girls had to do a lot of running around! Freya in centre court and Prisha and Michaela as attack and defence had a lot of work to do on court testing their fitness skills, but the girls gelled together and by half time the girls where well deserved 5-0 up!                                                                                                                               From half time onwards Copthorne dominated the game and there was some excellent passing and interceptions by all. The shooters Chloe and Prisha improved with confidence as the game went on scoring some super goals and the defence which consisted of Michaela, Katie and Emma were as solid as ever only allowing Ardingly one shot on goal throughout the whole match!                                                                                                                                                                               Well done to all the U9s as this was a fantastic 1st game back after the extended Xmas break and I hope we continue to keep it up for the other forthcoming fixtures!   TC
