After a couple of weeks of disruption due to the weather, the yr 4’s finally got to have another fixture. This time, unsurprisingly, they were at home again. They played Brambletye, a team we played a few weeks ago in a triangular tournament. That time it resulted in a tie, with this match not being much different. We started in a bit of a shambles, and soon found ourselves 4-1 down. This got worse as we missed multiple tackles and dropped to 7-2 down just before half time. We had a little resurgence and found selves 7-5 down on the half time whistle. We score three quick tries at the start of the second half to take the lead 8-7. The game then went end to end and we found ourselves 12-12 with 2 minutes left. A quick try from Matthew took us 13-12 with a minute left. We conceded with 20 seconds left to make it 13-13. Rex then made a great run with Arun finishing the game with another try to finish the match 14-13 to us. Although the referee had us up by 2 tries. A good game, made better by our own ineptitude and inability to tackle. Ultimately some heart was shown and a good result was gained.
