U9A Rugby v Brambletye

11th March 2016

Drew 7-7

Try Scorers: Archie (3), Sam P (2), Wesley and Nicholas

This was a tense encounter between two very competitive sides, played in rather muddy conditions. We started strongly and went ahead, at one stage leading 3-1, but Brambletye had two or three strong runners and once they scored they started gaining in confidence. Archie was excellent in attack, and also set a great example with a fantastic tackle in the first moment of the second half. Matthew also was uncompromising in his tackling. We played some of the best passing rugby we have produced yet this season, and yet in the final minute scores were tied. For a long time we were standing on our own try line making tackle after tackle and then suddenly got away with a chance to win it only for Luke to be tackled into touch. A draw was probably a fair result and well played to Brambletye as well as all of our boys. What a game!
