U9A Rugby v Hurst

26th February 2016

Won 13-7

Try Scorers: Luke (3), Sam P (3), Archie (2), William (2), James (2) and Wesley.

Our match this week was played in perfect conditions under a clear blue sky. The game was good for many reasons; our guests Hurst may have lost the game but they displayed some fantastic passing and off-loading skills for their age. We can certainly learn from them in the way they looked to pass before going into contact to bring in players in more space. Our boys should definitely be proud of their performance though. Luke played his first full game for the As and made a great impact with three tries thanks to very powerful straight running.

Sam P was equally effective though he used his agility and pace to score his hat-trick. Everyone in our side played well, and it was our eagerness to tackle that gave us the edge today. Matthew was excellent in his defence, and Nicholas was again a very effective scrum half. It was nice to see William and James get a couple of tries, and Archie and Wesley once again got over the line too.

Sam R also had a great game today and was unlucky not to score himself. Well played boys! DJ
