A triangular hockey tournament was played at Handcross Park School involving Copthorne, Great Walstead and Handcross.

The U9B’s had only had one or two lessons of hockey and experienced a real learning curve! They soon realised that the game was fast and they tried to keep up with play both on the attack and in defence. Emily V had some good saves around the goal and both Ivy-May and Bethany managed a few runs on the wing – but not necessarily in the right direction!

Well done to the squad of Emily, Jessica, Zara, Bethany, Samantha, Ivy-may, Priya, Jemima and Sophie for keeping going in the cold conditions. Bethany was chosen as Player of the Match by the opposition.

Well done girls!
