U9B Netball v Ardingly

11th March 2016

Won 11-2

The U9B netball team travelled to Ardingly on a very wet and miserable day to play their match. As Copthorne had eight players and the opposition only had six in their team it was decided that a member of the Copthorne team should play a quarter of the match for Ardingly on a rotation. This meant that the Copthorne girls were all playing and no one had to stand on the side-lines getting cold. The team played extremely well and the shooting of Ellie D, Ella B and Isabelle was definitely on target today. Between them they scored eleven goals and the defence of Kirsten and Ava only allowed Ardingly to score twice. The midfield of Lacey, Charlotte and Robin controlled this area and kept the ball in their half, as well as intercepting passes.

Well done girls, you played extremely well as a team. Ellie D was selected as Player of the Match by Ardingly.

It was a very enjoyable match to umpire! Mrs Toovey
