U9B Netball v BHHS

16th March 2018

Won 3-1

The U9B Netball team travelled to Brighton to play BHHS this week. The team was captained by Jemima who won the toss and elected to take first centre pass. It was a low scoring game with neither teams having many scoring opportunities because of tight defences. The score after the first eight minute quarter was 0-0. At the change of ends Copthorne scored two goals and added one more in the third quarter. BHHS scored their only goal in this quarter. No goals were scored in the final quarter. Sophie scored once and Jasmine scored twice against BHHS much taller Goal Keeper and Goal Defence.

The match was hampered by the fact that both teams were so close to the ball throughout the quarters. Copthorne’s target before the next match is to space out on the court. This will give them more options when trying to get the ball up or down the court as well as taking the marking opposition out of the melee!

Well done Pippa, Jessica, Sophie, Jemima, Ivy-May, Jasmine and Eloise you supported each other on the court and played sportingly.

Jemima was chosen as Player of the Match by BHHS.
