U9B Netball v Cumnor House

6th February 2017

This week the U9B’s took on Cumnor. Today’s Captain was Victoria who won the first centre pass. The girls moved the ball well down the court and there was good movement by Victoria and Gabriella in the circle. It was clear from the first few minutes that the teams were evenly matched so we were in for a good game. Despite some great defending from Cumnor the first goal came from Copthorne, scored by Gabriella. A well-deserved goal! The first half showed great defending skills from Martha and Mona with great movement on and off the ball from Katie and Victoria. The score at half time was 1-0 to Copthorne.

With a slight change around of positions Copthorne came out fighting for the ball. Katie was fantastic as centre and really linked the play well. Martha continued making great interceptions in defence and the girls were really gelling as a team. This great team work led to a second Copthorne goal which was scored by Belle. The final score was 2-0 to Copthorne.

A great effort from all players- Well done!

Player of the match was Katie.
