U9B Netball v Cumnor – Lost 3-7

Playing indoors was a treat for us this week! Although a few of our usual players had been taken up to play higher levels, we still managed to have a strong team against Cumnor. Copthorne got off to a slow start today but towards the end of the game they came back fighting and put up a strong defence. Zillyan Rustom had a great game as centre, playing a strong role in passing the ball from defence to our shooters. Nina Kashdan went from GS to GK in the last quarter and played brilliantly, allowing Cumnor to only score one goal. I  think this may be a new position for her! Our loss was certainly not due to the lack in determination. All the girls worked hard throughout the whole game and my man (lady) of the match goes to Lottie Ansell who showed some good ball skills and did not stop running! If there is one thing to take away from the game it is to enjoy playing and believe they are ALL strong players.  GW
