U9B Netball v Hurst

29th September 2017

This week the U9Bs played Hurst and today’s captain was Jasmine. Despite not having the first centre pass the girls got off to a flying start. The ball was quickly won back by Jennifer who then helped to link the play along with Pippa and Jemima down to the shooters. A goal was then quickly scored by Sophie. This great linking play continued throughout the first quarter and the Copthorne attacks were dominating the game. Jasmine and Sophie worked really well in the circle together leading to a further 3 goals being scored by Sophie and Jasmine getting a goal right at the end. The score now was 5-0 to Copthorne.

Throughout the second and third quarters the girls continued to dominate the play and work as a team. Jessica, Pippa and Ivy-May were making great interceptions in defence while Jemima and Jennifer were linking the play up to the shooters. Further goals were scored by Zara and Sophie bringing the final score to 8-0. What a fantastic effort form all the team. Well done to Jessica, Pippa, Ivy-May, Jennifer, Jemima, Jasmine, Sophie and Zara.

This week’s player of the match was Sophie who scored 6 goals!
