U9B Netball v Hurst

12th February 2016

Won 13-8

The Under 9B team played an amazing game of Netball on Wednesday afternoon against Hurst, winning 13-8. The Hurst U9B team proved to be a very strong team, which meant that it was a very competitive match. The Hurst girls were slightly ahead after the first quarter, but by the first 2 minutes of the second quarter the Copthorne girls had taken the lead. The girl of the game yesterday was awarded to Ella who did amazing in GA, helping our girls to win the game. Ellie played alongside Ella in GS position, and these two girls worked as an amazing combination, creating space around the circle. The other outstanding squad members; Lacey, Kirsten, Ava, Robin, Isabelle and Sophie all worked extremely hard throughout the whole game, agreeing to play different attack and defence positions to help their team win. The girls played with very good sportsmanship and ever so cheerfully. I was very proud of the U9B team and hope that they continue to play at such a high level in future matches. Well done girls.
