The U9B’s travelled by coach to Handcross Park School to play their netball match this week. The team was captained by Ivy-May and although she lost the toss and therefore lost the ability to have the first centre pass the team were focused from the start.

The centre of the court was dominated by Jennifer, Jemima and Ivy-May, with Jennifer making several very good interceptions. Sophie and Jasmine played well in the shooting circle and had quite a few opportunities to shoot a goal. Between them – and with the help of Ruby in one quarter – managed to score six goals. Pippa was particularly prominent in defence with many interceptions in the circle and in her area of the court. Ruby was there to assist and to get the ball back up the court to the attackers.

Well done Copthorne, a real team effort! Your target now is to find the space on the court during a match that you find during games lessons. A good team effort to win 6-1.

Pippa was chosen as Player of the Match
