U9B Rugby v Lancing College

Won 13-5

It was another strong victory for the U9B’s against Lancing College. Going into the match the B’s felt confident however, on seeing the opposition there was some worry with several big players present. The game started well with some good defence by Copthorne and continued pressure by the team enabled them to win possession and score some well earned tries early in the first half.

It was a physical game and at first the team were unsure how to bring down the biggest player. However, in the second-half the team succeeded with low tackles taking away his advantage, preventing him gaining any speed. Big tackles came in from Ewan, Christopher and Ruari. Both Lucas and Thomas managed to find space and although the runs weren’t direct, they both managed to score tries from inside their own half. There was some good offloading by Luke and Ronnie, which allowed the team to make good progress up the field, without the tackle count going up. Esaam came on during the first half. He made immediate impact by scoring a try on his debut performance. Another good win by the B’s and their undefeated streak continues with a final score of 13-5.

Ruari (3), Lucas (1), Christopher (3), Luke (2), Esaam (1) Ronnie (2) and Thomas (1)
