U9B Rugby v Pennthorpe

7th March 2016

Won 8-6

Tries: Thomas – 1, Ewan – 1, Ronnie – 3, Christopher – 3

This week we went up against Pennthorpe in one of the most nail-biting games of the season. Both sides were very strong in attack which made it a very entertaining match. Copthorne opened up the scoring with an early try from Ronnie however the opposition quickly fought back to even the score. It seemed whichever team had the ball in hand were the ones that scored and as the possession was quite even, neither team were able to gain much of a lead. Our defensive line was spread out wide although at times it became bunched up in the centre of the pitch which allowed the opposition to outpace our wingers and score in the corners. After two injuries from Pennthorpe midway through the second half the game was called short. The final score being 8-6, once again, to the boys in red and black. BM
