U9C Cricket v Handcross Park – Summer 2017

4th May 2017

The U9C’s ventured off to Handcross for a game of cricket on Wednesday afternoon in what was quite rainy, cold weather. Copthorne were still enthusiastic and keen on playing and we were set out to field and bowl first. Our bowling went well and we put in a solid effort out in the field, keeping play as tight as possible. Handcross managed a grand total of 194 runs for us to chase. Although our batting was a very good effort, from all boys, we managed a total of 172 runs to fall just short of what was required for the win! The boys did have fun though and it was a successful afternoon of cricket for the boys.

Well done to Henry L, for a top batting score of 11 and Alex M of 7! A great team effort boys, well done!
