U9/U8 VII Netball v St Aubyns – Lost 5-13

On a cold bitter day the sea breeze soon put colour on our faces, including the parents! We started off very positive but soon were muscled over in allowing St Aubyns to snatch the ball. This became a problem throughout the game, we were too kind in letting them take the ball. Emily & Elizabeth were kept busy in defence, and with a very tall goal shooter this made them having to work harder. Center court play we started to pick up the loose balls, but it wasn’t enough as it was to little to late to get us back into the game. St Aubyns were mentally on top of their game and defiantly used to the colder weather.   Player Of The Match for Copthorne was: Victoria Gache, she was the smallest but the only one who had determination.  Special mentions also to Amanda Jones and Rebecca Bright. The whole team played well but need to get back into their training programme. C’mon girls lets work harder towards our next Match! Well done.  MC
