Under 11 Girls Tag Rugby

7th March 2016

Despite the constant threat of snow and an extreme chill factor the Colts were eager to put their Tag rugby skills to use. The girls were split into three teams; the dolphins, sharks and starfish. Although we played a couple of matches against each other we also played several against Great Walstead. Our passing was generally good although some of the girls were still in netball mode, and found it slightly unnatural to pass the ball backwards. However, all in all our teams played well considering the cold. There were several tries scored and by the end of the tournament our teams had improved their game. There were some players who stood out and impressed the crowd.

Players of the tournament; Tanishka, Beth, Grace, Jemima, Mallory, Emily, Isabella

Well done to all the girls. You all had a go and that is what it is all about.

A very big thank you to Mrs Persad who has been coaching us every Thursday and who also spent the entire afternoon refereeing too. Thank you to Mrs Toovey, Mr McGuigan, who also refereed, Mrs Cook and all the parents who came to support us. LD
