Under 9A v Lancing Prep

5th October 2017

Well different week, different performance. We played 7 a side as Lancing seemed to have double our numbers so Henry made his debut.

We went one nil down then, after a corner from Alex, a rare headed goal at under 9 level by Arun. Half time was 3-3 with Alex and Rex scoring.

Second half we led until literally the last 5 seconds when Lancing scored a late equaliser , to be fair Lancing using subs did have more energy than our boys , although we worked hard especially Harry and Charlie we just didn’t have the composure or work rate of last week . Matt as usual was vocal in his encouragement of the team from the back. i

I think the boys use up a lot of nervous energy getting changed so early. I arrived just after 1pm and you were all changed asking when we are starting? Are the other team here yet? So you play for 90 minutes before the match which may explain why energy levels were down .

We can discuss on Monday a routine that gives you the chance to be better prepared .

Boys well done, you try hard and the teamwork is good, and the great thing about sport we get another game soon to keep improving.

Team Matt, Rex, Charlie, Henry, Alex , Harry and Arun
