U9As Football v Cottesmore

28th September 2017

Sunny day, dry pitch, having use of the new mini bus and players in a good mood was an excellent start to the afternoon!
On a bumpy pitch the boys started as they left off last week. In a excellent first half, they simply had too much energy and desire than the opposition. The boys just played simple but quick football – control and pass to a teammate and when defending stay on your feet and be strong when tackling. All players scored and they played some lovely passing football against opposition who were simply not given a opportunity to play. The boys are developing good habits enjoying themselves and improving.

Scorers Charlie 2, Rex 2, Alex 3, Arun 2 and Harry who’s smile after he scored was just a lovely moment. Matt in goal kept  a clean sheet and his concentration well and is starting to organise the players in front of them. Match awareness needs to be looked at as none of the boys realised Cottesmore played with a extra player for most of the second half.

Well done boys and getting a compliment from Cottesmore’s headmaster was the icing on the cake!
