Windlesham 7s

7th March 2016

Certainly the most powerful tournament we attend and in its fiftieth year. Wet, windy, muddy and cold! A great start with a big win against Brighton College Senior school rather flattered to deceive as we then came up against one of the tournament favourites in Windlesham to whom we lost heavily. The other 2 group games against Holmwood House and Rydon Community were disappointing in that we lost both and certainly should have put up a better performance. This put us in the plate where we met a Great Walstead side intent on revenge after the 15’s result and, in an absolute mud bath we lost by four  So after a really promising start we fell away which was pity. Still this is the first of 4 tournaments and I hope that we have learnt from the experience not least to remember our kit!! Thanks to the loyal mums who braved the atrocious conditions to support the team. JC
