Windlesham House U11 Girls’ Football Festival

15th March 2018

A select 9 of our Under 11 Girls travelled to Windlesham House to take part in a football festival designed to introduce them to a new sport, to enjoy the game and above all to have lots of fun.

From start to finish all of the girls had huge smiles on their faces and they thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. It was great to see some girls who do not normally make the A team during the hockey and netball seasons getting stuck in and fully participating in team sport.

Our opponents for the afternoon were Windlesham A and B, St Andrews A and B, Handcross, Ashdown, Cumnor and West Park. Mia, Ava, Kirsten, Robin, Zara, Keira, Amelie, Miranda and Charlotte worked their socks off all afternoon.

I was asked to nominate a Most Valuable and Most Improved Player, which was a very difficult decision but I think Keira and Robin were deserved winners of the award.

Well done to all 9 girls; double effort stars all round!
