Blackland Farm – Year 7’s trip!

You can find all the photos in the Photo Gallery entitled “Year 7 Blackland 2013”

Second Report!

After a great morning of activities despite the rain we had a quick lunch before our walk to the lake. Fortunately the weather forecast got it right and by the time we got to the lake ready for our canoeing we saw blue sky and sun.

Everyone enjoyed having some time on the water. Straight after that, some of us were up for a swim in the pool.

After a fabulous campfire meal we had a great game of cricket/rounders. We rounded off the day by the campfire playing charades and toasting marshmallows.

Until tomorrow….

First Report!

Despite the weather, spirits at Copthorne camp have been very high. Staff were very impressed with how Year 7’s put up the tents in their respective groups. In the afternoon, we all had a go at the Perch, aeroball and the crate stacking challenge. It was great to see all of the children have a go even if they were a bit weary of heights.

In the evening, we all sat down in the hut for a sit down meal of hamburgers and salad. Despite the wind, rain and general excitement at being in tents, we did get some sleep.

This morning, we have had a hearty breakfast and undefeated by this lovely British Summer, we have had great fun grass sledging, bungee trampolining and doing archery.
