Victorian Timeline

29th April 2016

Congratulations to Rafe C who has produced a wonderful Victorian era timeline that starts with the invention of Morse Code in 1836 and Queen Victoria being crowned in 1837 aged 18, and runs through to 1901 when she died (on January 22nd after 63 years on the throne).

The most interesting fact for me was that Jelly Babies were invented in 1864 but marketed as “Peace Babies” in 1918 to mark the end of the First World War!

A Headmaster’s Commendation is on its way to Rafe.
