A yummy lesson!

22nd January 2016

What a busy week! We have been learning about the properties of some materials. We have found and described transparent, translucent and opaque materials and been on a hunt to look for them around our department. For ideas about what we can control in our house, we looked at toasting bread. We thought about the sequence of events to make a piece of toast and made a slice of toast each, spread the butter and jam and ate it! A yummy lesson!

As an introduction to Sikhism and our trip to a Gurdwara next week, we enjoyed a very interesting talk from Arun and Rohan’s Mummy, Mrs Gibbons. We are really looking forward to our visit to see for ourselves.

We have also thought about how we can help with chores at home and at school – so we are hoping to see some more ‘Good Deed’ leaves returning to school very soon! Perhaps the children can make the toast for breakfast?
