Learning to tell the time

13th June 2016

We have been working hard learning to tell the time to the hour, half past, quarter to and quarter past the hour. It is quite tricky and any help you can offer your child in this would be really helpful!

We have been blessed with good weather for most of this week and this has helped us to continue our topic about sunny weather. We have tracked the effect of the sun throughout the day and noticed that the shadows are long, then short and then longer again and they appear to move! We played shadow games with our bodies and hands and had great fun with this!

In ICT we were using a paint project to design a garden. The children used the tools to paint a sky with clouds, different flower beds with colourful flowers and then added walls and paths. Choice of tools and mouse control is certainly improving!

Virtual Open Day

Another Virtual Open Day!

Our next Virtual Open Day will take place on Saturday 3 October where we will share a link to an exclusive Open Morning page. The page will contain more information about our school and videos showing ‘A day in the Nursery/Pre-Prep/Prep School’.

Should you wish to speak to the Headmaster & Head of Pre-Prep in person, you are also invited for a 1:1 (socially distanced) chat at your convenience.

To book an appointment, or to register your place for the Virtual Open Day, please email our Registrar, Kathryn Billingham-West on
