We have had a very exciting week as our potatoes were ready to dig up! We had a lovely time picking out the potatoes from their roots and washing and preparing them for eating. Mrs Lock’s potatoes were the ‘Rudolph’ variety – an interesting shade of pinky purple on the outside and they weighed in at 1.340 kg. Mrs Frith’s were the ‘Rocket’ variety and weighed in at 1.65 kg. Mrs Frith’s class are hereby declared the ‘Potato Grower Winners’! We went on to cook and eat our potatoes and some children had a 4th piece – so a huge hit with the children generally!

We have had fun meeting our new teachers and look forward to practising our Year 2 behaviour and learning for next year.
