‘The Boy who Hated Toothbrushes’

7th March 2016

We have been enjoying lots of stories during book week. Zehra Hicks was our guest author and we all loved her story about Billy, ‘The Boy who Hated Toothbrushes’.

We enjoyed discussing the main characters in the book along the theme of loving and hating – the crocodile hated people, the lion who hated meat and the dog who didn’t like to wag his tail. We illustrated our own front covers – budding authors and illustrators abound!

Our art this week was painting flowers in the style of Georgia O’Keeffe, large, single blooms in nice bright colours. We will soon have classrooms that look like gardens!
