Year 1 News – Spring Term 2017 – Week 8

10th March 2017

We have been learning about time in our maths lessons – thinking about the different activities we might do throughout the day and beginning to use both digital and analogue clocks to tell the time. If you can draw your child’s attention to timed activities at home it would be most helpful, such as what time a TV programme begins and ends? Or how long dinner will take to cook? We may need to be reminded what each of the hands stand for – i.e. minutes and hours.

We also looked at the work of one of our favourite artists Georgia O’Keeffe and started to use acrylic paints to create beautiful magnified flowers … watch out for them shortly on our classroom walls!

Virtual Open Day

Another Virtual Open Day!

Our next Virtual Open Day will take place on Saturday 3 October where we will share a link to an exclusive Open Morning page. The page will contain more information about our school and videos showing ‘A day in the Nursery/Pre-Prep/Prep School’.

Should you wish to speak to the Headmaster & Head of Pre-Prep in person, you are also invited for a 1:1 (socially distanced) chat at your convenience.

To book an appointment, or to register your place for the Virtual Open Day, please email our Registrar, Kathryn Billingham-West on
