We have been learning about the names and properties of 2D and 3D shapes – counting edges, and faces, seeing if the shapes make good roll-ers etc. The children were then set the problem solving task of making a 3D crate for teddy bears to safely travel in. Lots of interesting discus-sions were to be heard in both Mrs Frith and Mrs Lock’s classes and we used a lot of tape and glue to stick the sides of the crate together.

We have had great fun listening to and writing the story of The Ginger-bread Man. It was even better when we were the ones devouring the tasty treats that we cooked ourselves.
