The children have been busy learning about the Polar Regions and how they differ.  When describing the Arctic, the children thought of some lovely adjectives and wove them into their descriptive writing. During DT children worked in groups to design a Polar Region and are looking forward to building it next week.

The story of Shackleton and his expedition is encouraging the children to find out about the Antarctic and what the conditions are like in this very isolated continent.  It felt almost as cold as Antarctica this week, and the children carried out an investigation with ‘ice hands’ to discover where the coldest location was in the Pre-Prep …. definitely not under Beth’s desk!
