As this week is book week we decided to choose one of our favourites, ‘Traction Man’. This book has a comic book format using an action figure, so the children worked in groups with their own action figures to make their own comic books.

It was with great glee that the children planned out their story and then chose a variety of locations to pose and arrange their figures to be photographed. These pictures were then artfully arranged, text added and comics produced.

As part of our topic work, we imagined what it would have been like in London in 1666. We looked at the order events of the fire and then the children took on the role of ‘journalists’ and had to write an eye catching front cover for the London Gazette. Olivia challenged the reader to ‘read on to find out more…’

During RE we have looked at special books from six main religions and children have identified their own special books.
