Many congratulations to all students who sat their LAMDA Introductory Grade examinations in November. This was their first experience of LAMDA examinations and we were delighted to receive 100% distinction or merit grades.
The students all worked extremely hard on their pieces which judging by the examiner’s comments were all perfectly memorised and remembered even during the actual examination which can be quite daunting and nerves can kick in! The enthusiasm and enjoyment the students showed through the preparation period was quite exceptional and it was a pleasure to work with them. They all made tremendous progress and I am looking forward to watching them develop their full potential over the forthcoming years.
Many students achieve full or high marks for their discussion with the examiner which is out-standing. Concentration, engagement and listening skills are all assessed and this vital part of the examination is worth 50% of the marks. These are all important life skills that it is never too early to start learning and practising.
Many thanks to all parents who listened and helped with the memorising of pieces. Thank you also for helping to choose the super pictures that your child had to discuss with the examiner who clearly enjoyed hearing about them all. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Students only sit one examination a year and I will be sending out a letter in the Summer term asking parents to register their child’s interest in sitting LAMDA exam when preparation begins in September. In the meantime, if you would like further details please don’t hesitate to contact me at email@example.com. Well done everyone. Mrs Alison Dawson
