By Gabriel, Yr 2

On Remembrance Day we remember all the people who died in all of the wars. Remembrance Day is on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. We went to the clock tower. We stood around it. When the clock struck eleven, we were silent for two minutes and remembered all of the people who died in all of the wars. After the two minutes was over, Thomas Walker played The Last Post on the trumpet.

In the war they lived in trenches and soldiers got killed. We wear poppies to remember people who died in the war. ‘Dear God, we don’t want any more wars’.
