Visiting Littlehampton

The Year 2 children and staff had a lovely day out in Littlehampton on Tuesday as part of their Geography topics on the seaside. The day started for one group with a trip to the ‘Look and Sea Centre’ where the children learnt all about smugglers, played seaside  games and enjoyed 360 degree panoramic views of Littlehampton and the surrounding countryside. Meanwhile the other group visited the RNLI lifeboat station to find out how these brave people are trained to save lives at sea and do it all as volunteers. Scarlett – My favourite part of the day was going on the train because it was really comfortable and I enjoyed saying ‘hello’ to passers by

Dylan – I really enjoyed skimming stones and splashing in the sea but I got very immensely soggy

James – I liked learning about the life boats and how they went to sea and saved other people

Clara – I was amazed by how quickly RNLI volunteers get changed into their rescue gear

Rafe – We saw the River Arun flow into the sea

Felix T – First we went to the Sea and Look Centre. I saw old fashioned binoculars and a telescope
