We had a treat this week when Tania, from the Freshwater Theatre Company, brought the Great Fire of London to life.

The children participated in lively enactments of dying from the plague, itching with fleas and greeting King Charles II as he passed by! They curled up as tiny sparks and grew with the story to a raging inferno!

Tania was impressed with how much the children already knew about this fascinating event. However, this dramatic experience really developed their understanding and emotional response to the fire.
